How To: Backup a Database To Local File

To backup a database to a local file:

1. Select the Backup File item in the Backup Destination section of the SQL Azure page.
2. In the Directory field, specify the name of the directory on your local hard drive.
3. In the File name field, specify the name of the local backup file.
