Linqinsight not in VS menu

Hi,

I've installed the trial version of Linqinsight 3.6.
I tried to add the two Linqinsight options to the VS menu (ver. 2017) but I cannot find it in the command menu. it supposed to be inside the view menu.
I've looked in all menus available but didn't find it. Do I miss something?

thanks

Result data charset is mismatch

Hi,

I've created a linqConnect model using the developer.
and when displaying data on the website I'm getting giberish.
when issueing a SELECT query to retrieve data, I can see that the data is ok and in the right charset. the problem is only in the web application.
in the html head i'm using utf-8 charset.

what can be the problem?

hi

thank you for the explanation regarding the dotConnect Universal.
I'd thought it supposed to show up in the database list inside Entity Developer when wanting to connect to a new database.

now I understand the situation.
but, another question, if I may.
what is the difference between the dotconnect Universal object and the regular Data object visual studio has already. what is the benefit of using your product?

thanks

hi

I've cleaned the GAC and reinstall the Entity Developer.
and it works well. now, I've installed the mysql support.
but it seems not enough to use it, so I installed the linqConnect module.
when install it I'm getting an error message saying that the version of another product is incorrect:

Devart.Data assembly version 5.0.431.0 is found in Global Assembly Cache.
This product is compatible with Devart.Data.dll version 5.0.424.0.

Entity Developer version 4.3.159.0 is found in your system.
You are trying to install the incompatible 4.3.152.0 version of Entity Developer.

Modules which are not in the manifest were streamed in.
exception: 0x8131043

Now, I'm capabale of creating a new model but when I want to create a devart linqConnect model it crashes.

so there is a problem with Entity Developer and LinqConnect.
I'm using the latest versions from your website.

thanks for your reply.

I've reinstalled linqConnect, mysql support and sqlite support again.

when installing the linqConnect product I've received two messages:
the first telling me that there is another incompatible version of the product:

Entity Developer version 4.3.159.0 is found in your system.
You are trying to install the incompatible 4.3.152.0 version of Entity Developer.

and another setup error message saying that:

Modules which are not in the manifest were streamed in(exception from hresult: 0x80131043.

here's a copy of install.log file:

strange "loop" in one of the fields

After defining a set of associations between 7 different tables.
I've suddenly got error message inside a valid and working code part.

telling me there is a "loop" in a Db.fieldName type.
the code part that was running wasn't even related to that mentioned
fieldName.

what I've dont in order to temporary solve the issue, was to cancel any association with that table. that solved the case.

but now I have no association also..

anyone knows about this problem?

Associations getting dropped after adding new field to table

hi

After defining a wonderful association set, I've added one more field to one
of the tables. and all the association set dissappeared.

and I had to define everything from begnining.
that, happened few times already.

what is the cause for that?
