On several occasions when creating a review over multiple changesets, Visual Studio has used >2.3gig of ram... Until the point the entire system has crawled to it's knees and the only recovery method was a full reboot.
Even smaller reviews using 2-3 changesets seems to take a very long time to load/save...
Another very BAD issue we have is that VS just by opening the Tab with the list of projects brings Visual Studio to its knees and the only solution i've found is to open up VS on another machine that has settings to only show the list of reviews. Something is using WAYYYYY to much memory when loading reviews.... This is unacceptable for our team (we just purchased a team license) and we need to find a solution. Or else this product is unusable in its current state.....
Thoughts??
High CPU and memory utilization in Visual Studio
Re: High CPU and memory utilization in Visual Studio
Please describe these use cases in more details. How exactly do you create review, how many changesets do you add to the review and how many files do they have?On several occasions when creating a review over multiple changesets, Visual Studio has used >2.3gig of ram... Until the point the entire system has crawled to it's knees and the only recovery method was a full reboot.
Do you mean Review Assistant Options -> Projects tab? Or Code Review Board with selecting filter to view reviews from all projects?Another very BAD issue we have is that VS just by opening the Tab with the list of projects brings Visual Studio to its knees and the only solution i've found is to open up VS on another machine that has settings to only show the list of reviews.
