    Initializes a new instance of the PgSqlConnection class when given a string containing the connection string.
    Syntax

    Parameters

    connectionString
    The connection used to open the PostgreSQL server database.
    Remarks
    When a new instance of PgSqlConnection is created, the read/write properties are set to the following initial values unless they are specifically set using their associated keywords in the ConnectionString property.
    Properties Initial Value
    ConnectionString empty string ("")
    ConnectionTimeout 15
    Database empty string ("")
    Host empty string ("")
    Password empty string ("")
    Port 5432
    UserId empty string ("")

    You can change the value for these properties only by using the ConnectionString property.

    Example
    The following example creates and opens a PgSqlConnection.

      PgSqlConnection myConnection = new PgSqlConnection(myConnString);
