    Represents a set of data commands and a data source connection that are used to fill the System.Data.DataSet and update a SQL Server data.
    Syntax
    Remarks
    The SqlDataAdapter serves as a bridge between a System.Data.DataSet and a data source for retrieving and saving data. The SqlDataAdapter provides this bridge by using System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill to load data from the data source into the System.Data.DataSet, and using System.Data.DataSet.Update() to send changes made in the System.Data.DataSet back to the data source.

    SqlDataAdapter is used in conjunction with SqlConnection and SqlCommand to increase performance when connecting to SQL Server.

    The SqlDataAdapter also includes the SelectCommand, InsertCommand, DeleteCommand, UpdateCommand, and TableMappings properties to facilitate loading and updating of data.
