Visual Studio 2022
Re: Visual Studio 2022
Hi there,
Small update regarding this matter.
Please be informed that due to technical difficulties we faced during the implementation of Visual Studio 2022, the release of its support will be postponed.
I fully understand your concerns and want to assure you that our team is taking all possible actions to have this done ASAP, however, at the moment, we do not have the exact ETA of this request.
Kindly note that this request has the highest priority for our team and as soon VS2022 support is added to the product we will immediately inform all our users.
Thanks for your understanding and once again sorry for this delay.
Best regards,

Can you estimate approximately how long it will take? I am just waiting for Visual Studio 2022 .NET 6 support and would buy immediately.
Thanks to all who work hard to make this possible!

Re: Visual Studio 2022
I agree with @floatingleaf, a regular (monthly) update would be nice. It's what we require of ourselves for our production clients, regular updates until a production issue is resolved. I use SQL Complete more often in VS (80%) than I do in SSMS (20%) so this situation is pretty painful, especially when RedGate appears to have their SQL Prompt product up and running in VS 2022.
Re: Visual Studio 2022
Adding my +1, really expected a paid professional product like this to be compatible with VS2022 when I started a new project today.
Re: Visual Studio 2022
Devart has a large presence in Ukraine, perhaps even their main headquarters, if you look at their recruitment section. I am sure they want to return back to normal as soon as possible too, however they have larger issues to deal with given what is going on over there. I too am hoping for their return and this update, but I cannot blame them and prefer they remain safe.
Re: Visual Studio 2022
Did not know that, thanks for sharing @Tonyd1987.
This is of no significance then, hope they're all as safe as possible ..

Hello Devart,
can you please provide a statement, if there is current develpment regarding EntityDeveloper? Or is the development stopped because of the war in the ukrain?
I searched via google and found out that your developement team is based in Kharkiv, is this correct?
We realy need an update on this topic.

Dear Customers,
Thanks for your patience on this topic!
Kindly be informed that we are near to finishing our work on VS2022 support,
we will release it in the nearest future.
But yes, the main reason for uncertainty the last time was and is the war, as far as our team WAS in Kharkiv, but right now we have the possibility to keep working.
So please don't worry about the VS2022 support release, we are going to finish it and inform you as far as it's ready.
Best regards,
From Ukraine

This is one of the biggest problems.belidzs wrote: ↑Fri 18 Feb 2022 08:05 Don't hold your breath. I've paid for another year of license fee back in November, because I just assumed that they must have already added support VS2022, like any other respectable component supplier did at the time.
They had access to betas, RCs, and other preview versions which they could've leveraged to ensure dotconnect's compatibility by the official launch. They just don't care about this products and their subscribers anymore.
Updates occur a maximum of 3 times a year. Reported bugs take months for any updates to come out. Which harms the project. Paying a license to have few updates is complicated.
I went to migrate to EF Core and found more than 6 bugs and some impediments that I could use. Frustrated, we paid the license and were unable to use it.

My subscription is about to expire, I wanted to ask you if you are going to come out with a new version compatible with Visual Studio 2022.

Re: Visual Studio 2022
Hi - I know there are good reasons for this problem not being solved..
But as a responsible coders we need to move on..
Does anyone know of an affordable software that does something similar to Entity Developer?
My requirements:
- Integrated with VS 2022
- Visual model builder
- Model2DB and DB2model updates
- Generate code following normal standards in .Net 6 with EF Core
- Generate partial classes
- Within or below the pricerange of Entity Developer
We need to move on..
