Levels and benefits

There are two participation levels in this program: Entry and Advanced. You can immediately proceed to either of them by performing the corresponding activities and sending us an email with links to the published content.
The achieved level lasts for 3 months over the four key timespans: January 15 – April 15, April 15 – July 15, July 15 – October 15, and October 15 – January 15. That is, if you submit content, and it is approved on January 15, your level will be active for 3 months until April 15. After it expires, you can create, publish, and submit new content to renew your level and get new benefits.

Entry level

To join in at the Entry level, you have two options to choose from:
  • Publish two posts on Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, X, or Facebook describing how a dbForge product helped you with a project.
  • Write two in-depth answers/comments on Reddit, Quora, or Stack Overflow recommending a dbForge product.

Advanced level

Perform the activities required for the Entry level (either two posts on social media or two in-depth answers/comments on a forum) + choose and perform two more activities from the following list:
  • Publish a blog post dedicated to your experience with a dbForge product on a personal website, Medium, Dev.to, LinkedIn articles, DZone, or another relevant website.
  • Start a discussion or leave one more in-depth answer/comment on a forum (e.g., Stack Overflow, SQLServerCentral, or Reddit).
  • Create a YouTube video about a dbForge product.
  • Mention dbForge at a public online event (e.g., webinar, podcast, online conference); note that this mention must be visible online in the text description of the event.

Who is eligible for the Friends of dbForge program?

The Friends of dbForge program is open to:

  • Microsoft MVPs & Oracle ACEs – certified database professionals with influence in the industry
  • Bloggers and influencers – creators of content that is directly related to SQL, database tools, and database DevOps
  • dbForge promoters – users who actively review and recommend dbForge tools based on their experience
  • Express edition users – individuals exploring the free Express editions of dbForge tools

What is the purpose of the program?
The program aims to build a community of database professionals who actively explore dbForge products, exchange expertise, and strengthen connections between dbForge and its users. Devart rewards contributors, supporters, and evangelists of dbForge and values their feedback as a resource for continuous product improvement.
What are the benefits of the program?
Program participants receive various benefits from Devart, depending on their level. These range from spotlights on social media and guest posts on Devart's resources to free licenses and subscriptions. Additionally, Devart regularly holds contests and challenges where participants can win extended trials, free subscriptions, and license upgrades.
What participant levels are there in the program?

The program currently offers two levels: Entry and Advanced. Participants can apply for either of these levels.

The achieved level lasts for 3 months over the four key timespans: January 15 – April 15, April 15 – July 15, July 15 – October 15, and October 15 – January 15. Also note that the current level cannot be changed at once. Instead, the participant has to wait until it expires and re-apply for another level.

How will I know if I've been invited to join the Friends of dbForge program?
You will receive an email notification. Our team will contact you with detailed information about the program, including its benefits and requirements.
I have never used the dbForge tools. Can I join the program?
Yes, you can join the program. It is open even to new users who are just getting started with our tools.

Terms and conditions

    The Friends of dbForge program is open to database professionals, industry influencers, creators of content on database- and data-related topics, and active users who would like to review and recommend dbForge tools.

    Participation in the program is free.

    Each application will be received and reviewed by our team. A Devart representative will contact the approved applicants to provide detailed information about the program, including the benefits.

    Participants must refrain from spreading false information about dbForge products and promotional campaigns.

    The benefits of this program do not stack with the benefits of other discount programs by Devart.

    To be eligible for participation, applicants should meet at least one of the following criteria:

    • Have an official Microsoft MVP or Oracle ACE status.
    • Create high-quality content related to databases in general or dbForge tools in particular.
    • Regularly participate in dbForge surveys, feedback sessions, and recommendation activities.
    • Actively engage in community discussions, forums, or social media interactions.
